Launched in Spring 2025, the Ontario Society of Nuclear Medicine is on a mission to:

  • Create a vibrant community of nuclear medicine professionals, including technologists, physicians and researchers from the public and private sectors that are united by a shared commitment to excellence in patient care and innovation.

  • Deliver continuing education and professional development through regular symposiums, workshops and knowledge-sharing platforms.

  • Advocate for government policies that increase the availability, funding and utilization of PET/CT, Theranostics and other advancements in Nuclear Medicine.

  • Promote research and development in Nuclear Medicine to enhance diagnostic and therapeutic capabilities.

  • Foster interdisciplinary collaboration to address the evolving needs of the Nuclear Medicine landscape and improve patient outcomes.

  • Demonstrate excellence by upholding the highest standards in all aspects of Nuclear Medicine, from patient care to research and education, and from optimized practice standards and patient-centered care through collaboration and knowledge sharing.
